About Tabitha's Quilts of Valor

Pete is Cynthia Millar’s Uncle.  Pete served in the US Army from 1945-1946 and was a rifleman and military policeman.  He was stationed in the Phillipians and in Germany.  We thank Pete for his service.  His ceremony was in Cynthia’s beautiful home October 25, 2023.  Pete had 20 family members who attended the ceremony.

Phil served in the United States Navy Reserve and then on active duty with the United States Air Force. He is a Vietnam War Veteran where he served as an Air Force pilot and instructor pilot. He received the Silver Star, the Distinguished Flying Cross – twice, the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry and multiple Air Medals before he was honorably discharged.

Phil Johnson of Lubbock is an attorney and former Texas Supreme Court Justice. He also served as Justice and later Chief Justice of the Seventh C

Michael Tackitt joined the U.S. Army while still in high school and spent 9 years serving as a combat medic and was honorably discharged after serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom.  During his service he was awarded the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, OIF Campaign Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Meritorious Service Medal, GWOT Ribbon and Combat Medic Badge.
